How Bidding Works

therichest.lol is a paid public throne. You pay to claim a rank as "the richest." Your rank on the board is determined solely by your bid amount.

Whole dollars only. You cannot bid cents — only whole dollar amounts.
Floor is $2. The minimum bid to get on the board is $2.
Taking #1 costs the current top plus $2. If the current #1 bid is $4, you must bid at least $6 to take the throne. The sequence goes $2, $4, $6, $8, and so on.
Same handle raising pays only the difference. If you already have a bid and want to raise it using the same X handle, you only pay the difference between your current bid and your new bid.

A new bid sits wherever the amount lands you. You don't have to take #1. You can bid any amount at or above $2 and land at the rank your bid earns.
Ties go to the older bid. If two bids have the same amount, the one placed first keeps the higher rank.
Outranked rows stay on the board. When someone outbids you, your row doesn't disappear — it just moves down.

All purchases are final. Once you place a bid, your rank is immediately posted to the public board. There are no refunds under any circumstances.
